Which attributes go into the similarity calculation?

The prediction is the weighted average of your ratings for the most similar titles in your library: the more similar a title, the more its rating counts. Similarity is computed from a content fingerprint built from: title and release year, original title and original language, genres, keywords (themes and motifs), director or series creator, plot synopsis and tagline. The TMDB score, runtime and cast list are deliberately not used, because they say little about content similarity. You can see the titles used for every prediction under "Ratings used".

How many ratings do I need for good recommendations?

You can start getting recommendations after just a few ratings, but we recommend rating at least 10-15 movies for the best results. The more you rate, the better our AI understands your unique taste.
